Terms & conditions

Last updated: 30th July 2026 - Version 1.1

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between you (the client) and Faye Brown Coaching. By booking a session, programme, or accessing any coaching materials, you agree to these terms. These terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.

My services are intended for adults aged 18 and over.

2. Services

Faye Brown Coaching provides 1:1 coaching, group coaching programmes, and access to an online community. Sessions are delivered via Zoom. All community spaces are designed to be supportive and respectful environments, and members are expected to maintain confidentiality and kindness.

3. Booking and Payment

Payment is required to confirm your booking. For ongoing programmes or memberships, payments are taken on a recurring basis as outlined at the time of purchase. Refunds are not typically offered once a programme has started, except in exceptional circumstances at the coach's discretion.

Your right to cancel (cooling-off period): If you book online or at a distance, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you'd like your coaching to begin within this 14-day period, I'll ask you to confirm this in writing - please note that once sessions have started at your request, you lose the right to a refund for that cooling-off period.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

I know first-hand that life with children rarely goes to plan - illness, childcare falling through, school closures, or those days that simply don't go as expected. As a mother myself, this isn't an abstract policy for me, so I want to make sure you feel supported rather than penalised when these things come up.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, just let me know as soon as you're able to, and we'll find another time that works. There's no rigid notice window or automatic late-cancellation charge for genuine, occasional last-minute changes.

In return, I'd ask for the same understanding towards me. I also have young children, and there may be rare occasions where I need to move or reschedule a session at short notice. I'll always give you as much notice as I possibly can and will prioritise finding a replacement time that suits you.

To keep this arrangement fair and sustainable for both of us, I'd ask that you give as much notice as you're able to, and reach out to reschedule rather than simply not showing up. If cancellations become very frequent or last-minute without any notice, I may get in touch to have an open conversation about how we can make our sessions work better for you.

5. Confidentiality

All personal information shared during coaching sessions is treated as confidential. The only exceptions are where disclosure is required by law or where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.

6. Intellectual Property

All materials, including worksheets, videos, and resources, remain the property of Faye Brown Coaching. You may use them for personal use only. Content shared by members in group or community settings remains their own, but by participating, you grant permission for anonymised feedback or testimonials to be used for marketing purposes. You may withdraw this permission at any time by contacting us.

7. Results Disclaimer

Coaching is a collaborative process designed to support your personal and professional growth. It is not therapy or a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. Results depend on your own effort, commitment, and actions.

8. Community Conduct

The online community is a safe and inclusive space. Members are expected to engage respectfully. Faye Brown Coaching reserves the right to remove any member who breaches these guidelines.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice. Any prepaid unused sessions may be refunded at the coach's discretion.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Subject to the above, Faye Brown Coaching is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from decisions or actions you take as a result of coaching sessions. Coaching is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice.

11. Complaints

Faye Brown Coaching adheres to the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics. If you have any concerns about your coaching experience, please contact hello@fayebrowncoaching.com in the first instance so we can resolve this together.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
